Funke Akindele, deputy governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, said the opposition was ready to work for the people.
Akindele claimed that Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), a candidate for governor, had also been called by God to alter the course of the state’s history.
The renowned actress spoke on Sunday at the Surulere District’s Ayo Ni O Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church.
Akindele noted that her emergence was divine as she was selected “despite the crowd that struggled to be chosen”.
“We were called by God, if not we would have backed out”, NAN quoted her saying.
Akindele assured that the team would “change the story of Lagos State” for better.
Sunday Hunyinbo, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman in Badagry, told the PDP to fulfill its campaign promises if elected.
“Badagry has been marginalized enough. We are praying for you, God will take you there”, he prayed.
