Veteran actor, Zazk Orji has recalled how the nude scene he acted with Eucharia Anunobi, the actress, in a 1990s film affected his marriage.

Entertainment Reporter recalls that Orji and Anunobi shared erotic moments in a bathtub in ‘Glamour Girls’, the 1994 Nollywood blockbuster.

The controversial scene left tongues wagging then in the Nigerian movie space and also brought Anunobi into the limelight.

Orji, who was recently featured on ‘Nollywood Hardcore: The Legend’s Untold Story’ podcast, revealed that several people fed his wife with negative stories about him shortly after ‘Glamour Girls’ was released.

“Back then, we were talking about the 90s before the 2000s. I was married, yes,” he said.

On whether he had a misunderstanding with his wife, Orji said, “I did. Even though she’s an actress, so they were putting a lot of things in her mind”.

The actor said he was also suspended from church. He said before his suspension, his pastor told him he had received several complaints about the film.

Orji said the suspension which he thought was private was however leaked to the media.

“I remember after the movie was released, my pastor invited me and said that he had been receiving too many calls. He said ‘how can Zack go and do this kind of thing?’ He said he called me because he wanted to suspend me. But he wanted to inform me first of all before suspending me,” the actor said.

“And he said well, he was not going to tell anybody that it was just between us. While this happened, I was on another set, we were filming in Ikeja GRA. There was this guy called Alex who was very well-known in the industry back then.

“He worked with Punch Newspapers. He came to the set where I was filming and said ‘I just want to confirm from you before going to the press, is it true that you have been suspended by your church?’ I said who told you that?”

The actor is married to Ngozi Orji and they have three children.

The 64-year-old film star, born in Libreville, Gabon, recently revealed he regained his memory after undergoing successful brain surgeries.

On December 29, the actor slumped and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the national hospital in Abuja.
