The feud between top Nigerian comedians AY Makun and Basketmouth has taken a new turn after their colleague, Julius Agwu, chimed in.
In an interview, AY stated that his years-long feud with Basketmouth began over a sum of N30,000 that he has yet to receive for a show he anchored for him.
Basketmouth responded to AY’s remark by calling his colleague’s account of the incident “lies” in a viral podcast.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, Julius Agwu was asked to say a few words about what is going on among his colleagues regarding the 30k saga.
The comedian stated that there is more to their feud and that his colleagues had not told the entire story.
Speaking of his relationship with Ay, Julius Agwu recalled calling him and asking him to reschedule his yearly Easter Sunday comedy show, which falls on the same day as his.
According to him, Ay bluntly refused and hung the phone on him.
“I called AY, he cut phone for my neck”
He claimed he started hosting his show on Easter Sundays, way before AY began his yearly shows.
