Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, a controversial Nigerian street singer, will be arraigned in court today, Monday, April 3rd.

On Friday, ER reported that Portable had been taken into custody by the Ogun State police command.

The singer was arrested just days after he refused to accept a police invitation. On Tuesday, videos of the street artist cursing and roughhousing some Nigerian police officers surfaced on the internet.

Following the viral video, the Ogun State police command issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the “Zazoo” crooner to report himself to the nearest police station.

Portable, as usual, did not report to the nearest police station and was arrested and detained at the State Police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Speaking on the development, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the singer had been arrested and currently cooling his feet at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Mr. Oyeyemi said the Zazu crooner was arrested after refusing five invitations.

The singer who is currently in detention awaiting trial would be arraigned in court today.
