Obianuju Catherine Udeh, better known as DJ Switch, a Nigerian disc jockey, has written an appreciation letter to the Nigerian youth for changing the political narrative.

Recall that DJ Switch, who has been in exile, gained international attention after live-streaming Nigerian Army personnel shooting protesters at the Lekki tollgate during the nationwide EndSARS protest on October 20th, 2020.

Reacting to how youths have changed the narrative in Nigeria politics to some extent, DJ Switch stated that she has always believed that change will come to Nigeria and that the change needed is still a long way off, but her faith has been renewed.

DJ Switch stated in a heartbreaking quote that she does not see change coming, but she is grateful that the youths made her dreams come true.

She tweeted: “I want to say thank you to our vibrant youths. I’ve always believed change will come to Nigeria but I would always end that statement with, “I know I won’t see it.” But you guys have made my dream come true… I know it’s still a long way to go but my faith is renewed. Thank you!”

In another tweet, DJ Switch joked about the campaign strategies of the Lagos State’s incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu seeking re-election.

The governor has employed a series of outdoor campaigns from visiting churches, hairdressing saloon, to showing his skills at the mechanic work in order to cajole the citizens of Lagos to vote him in again on 11th March

In her tweet, DJ Switch wrote: “I hear say Sanwo Olu don turn usher for church Miracle no dey taya who???”
