2023 Elections: What OAP Bolanle Olukanni said in recent CNN interview
In an interview with CNN, OAP Bolanle Olukanni expressed her displeasure with INEC officials and the results collation process.
The TV personality listed all the different ways INEC disregarded its obligations and responsibilities during the recently completed general election in 2023.
She emphasised that INEC had broken its promise to transmit election results, and that many of the results INEC officials had presented to Nigerians were inconsistent with the results at their polling places.
Bolanle Olukanni expressed her dissatisfaction with the body because she believes INEC is deceiving us. She claimed that there were irregularities in the election.
“I think when it comes to what we were hoping, INEC the body that is conducting the election passed an electoral act in 2022 and pretty much the electoral act said that the result was going to be transmitted on their platform so it was going to be an electoral transmission.
That didn’t happen. You saw situations where INEC officials refused uploading the results and they said they didn’t have the ability and the device was slow.
A lot of the results that are being uploaded unto database doesn’t compare to the result people took pictures of on their phones”.
