The FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is currently taking place in Australia and New Zealand, will not feature Nigeria in the quarterfinal.

This comes after the Super Falcons’ Round of 16 loss to England on Monday, which ended in a penalty shootout.

Nigeria had played a 0-0 draw with England after 120 minutes.

Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed their spot-kicks during the penalty shoot-out.

The quarter-final stages will take place on Friday and Saturday.
