Wizkid, Burna Boy, others can’t do my kind of music – Nonso Amadi

Nonso Amadi, a popular singer from Nigeria, has claimed that he doesn’t create the same type of music as Wizkid and Burna Boy.

He claims that despite being inspired by them, neither they nor any other Nigerian musician can create music like his.

In the most recent episode of the Shopsydoo-hosted Afrobeats Podcast, he made this claim.

The ‘Tonight’ crooner said, “I am not making the same music as Burna Boy and Wizkid and others. I’m making music that I love. I’m inspired and influenced by them but there is a Nonso Amadi that anybody can.”

He said he isn’t trying to be a duplicate of any established artist, adding that he has been building his own unique musical style and personality.

He advised young artistes to avoid being copycats, stressing that they need to stand out.
