Rita Dominic, an actress, described how her white wedding nearly fell apart due to a United Arab Emirates (UAE) ban on transit flights.

On November 26, Rita and Fidelis Anosike exchanged vows in North Yorkshire, England.

The actress recalled how the UAE ban nearly caused the wedding to fail in a thank-you post on Instagram on Tuesday, but her designer Michael Nardi saved the day by going above and beyond to ensure its success.

She wrote: “Thank God for a beautiful weekend full of love and joy. Thank you to @michael5inco for making my dream wedding gown. It was a lot of hard work and patience since we were in two different countries.

“The UAE ban almost ruined it all but designer @michael_nardi_ who you see in this video came to the rescue by going and above and beyond to make the necessary alterations and final fittings. So huge hugs to both.”

Speaking further, Rita Dominic thanked others who also contributed to making the wedding successful.

She wrote: “Thank you to my dream team who worked hard to get me looking good in this gown. Love you all from the bottom of my heart. @thestudiobysbym @oluchionuigbo @lessandrasbeauty @bkuniquehair @kateokpo.”

The 46-year-old on Sunday shared highlights of the wedding ceremony on her Instagram account.

The ceremony was attended by her colleagues such as Kate Henshaw, Chioma Akpotha, Blessing Egbe, Michelle Dede, Ego Boyo, Mo Abudu, Toke Makinwa and her business partner Mildred Okwo.
