Senator Olurermi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, has denied closing the Aso Rock Chapel.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Remi ordered the chapel to be closed because certain members of the church did not support her husband.

In a statement released by her aide, Busola Kukoyi, she stated that the chapel is still operating and holds weekly fellowship.

She went on to say that President Tinubu has yet to name a Chaplain for the chapel.

”We wish to state categorically that this is a fabrication and totally false representation of the true situation, as the First Lady at no time gave such directive that the Chapel be shut and the keys handed over to Her Excellency.

“Presently, there are weekly fellowships going on at the Chapel.

”However, Mr President is yet to appoint a Chaplain for the chapel after the exit of the last Chaplain, as he only reserves the right to appoint a Chaplain for the Chapel,” she said.
