World record holder Tobi Amusan recently arrived in Nigeria after having her best career season.
On Tuesday in the late afternoon, Amusan arrived in Lagos and was received warmly.
A sizable contingent of sports supporters greeted the well-deserved return of Amusan.
Amusan travelled to Nigeria wearing a black sleeveless top and a pair of green pants.
Born in Ijebu-Ode, the athlete is Nigeria’s first-ever World Athletics Championship gold medalist. She won her first Diamond League final trophy in September 2021, marking the start of her illustrious career.
In June 2022, she took first place in the 100-meter hurdles event at the African Championships.
