Toyin Abraham and Mercy Aigbe are seeking financial help for Kemi Afolabi, the actress who is battling a life-threatening illness.

Afolabi had earlier said that she was diagnosed with lupus and that her doctor said she has five years to live.

“I have Lupus. It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life,” the actress had said.

“At a point, I was exhausted after spending so much, I said I will stop and just wait for death to come, but I braced up for my daughter and have to continue spending the N1.2million on the medication doze weekly to survive.

“I have sold my cars, property, capital for business. Funke Akindele has been helpful, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, and others reached out and have been there. But I still need more support to continue with my medication.”

Lupus is an autoimmune and inflammatory disease where the immune system attacks its own tissues.

The life-threatening condition often affects the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.

Abraham and Aigbe took to their separate Instagram pages on Wednesday to announce a GoFundMe account created for her.

The actresses also called on fans and other celebrities to support Afolabi by sending in their donations to the account.

“Hello everyone, we need your help, Kemi needs your help and support,” Aigbe wrote.

“She is my very good friend, sister, and colleague @kemiafolabiadesipe please kindly support us by clicking the link in my bio for the go fund acct or you can use the Nigeria account 0691762305 – GTB – AFOLABI OLUWAKEMI .A.”
