How my boss tried to discourage my husband from dating me – Helen Paul

Actress and comedian Helen Paul has recounted how her boss tried to discourage her husband, Femi, from dating her.

In a recent episode of popular podcast, The Honest Bunch, the thespian said that before she tied the knot with her husband, she took him to her workplace back when she was at TVC and her boss shocked her with her remarks.

According to the actress, the HR asked her Femi ( presently her husband) why he wanted to date Helen, saying he was too clean a man to settle with Helen.

In other news, the comedienne has apologised to her colleague Lizzy Anjorin over a comic post fellow actress Iyabo Ojo reacted to.

Helen who is fond of posting funny content on her Instagram account, made a post on Sunday, asking what a baby lizard is called.

“My people, what is a baby Lizard called? Is it Lizzy baby? I dey inside exam hall.”

Reacting in the comment section of the post, Iyabo who is currently at loggerheads heads with Lizzy dropped a laughing sticker in a manner that suggests she is mocking Lizzy Anjorin.

Lizzy Anjorin who was obviously offended by the post, cautioned Helen Paul.

“Una don see unna acclaimed professor wey dey do comedy post? Na jeje I dey on my lane,” she wrote.

On Monday, Helen apologised to Lizzy, stating that the post was never about her and it was misinterpreted.

“Good morning sis. Some people called me to inform me about my playful post and said you were angry. So sorry, It wasn’t in any way referring to you. Sorry got the misinterpretation or timing. Thank You,” Helen Paul wrote.
