Nigerian celebrities react after Falz undergoes surgery in UK

A number of celebrities have sent goodwill messages to rapper Falz following his knee surgery in the United Kingdom.

Among them are comic star Mr Macaroni, actress Funke Akindele, Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, and singer Yemi Alade.

Falz broke the news of his surgery on Wednesday, May 10 with a video shared on Instagram, stating that he sustained a knee injury last year while playing football and was advised to go for surgery.

Falz’s video contained moments before and after the surgery. He joked that after the surgery he would make pounded yam and egusi soup.

“On the 23rd I went to play football and I sustain a knee injury,” he said.

“And it’s pretty serious. On November 30th, 2022, I did my ACL. My MRI came back and it shows that there is a complete tear on my ACL. I have been advised to go into surgery to fix it.”

The music star solicited prayers from his fans, colleagues, and well-wishers.

“Current situation. It’s a whole journey to being 100% back. Say a prayer for me,” he captioned his post.

Several celebrities took to his comment section to wish him well.

Mr Macaroni wrote, “Thank God for his mercies. Love you always brother!!!! See youuuu soooon!!!!!!! And we go parryyyyyy hardddddddd!!!!!.”

Funke Akindele wrote, “*in Jenifa’s voice * My shege ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ you will not die but liveth in Jesus name.”

Osimhen also prayed for Falz, saying “Prayers up for you brother.”

Yemi Alade wrote, “Oh Falz. Heal better and stronger! Ndo! God got you ❤.”

Media personality Toke Makinwa said, “Thank God you are fine ❤.”

Others who commented were Chioma Akpotha, Bobrisky, Toyin Abraham, Juliet Ibrahim, Nkechi Blessing, Wilfred Ndidi, Uche Jombo, Tacha, Lola Omotayo, and a host of others.
