Breaking: Shock as Peter Obi defeats Tinubu in Lagos

In Saturday’s presidential election in Lagos State, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, defeated the APC’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Obi received 582,454 votes to Tinubu’s 572,607 votes, according to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on a local government basis and collated.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party finished third with 75,750 votes.

Tinubu was victorious in 11 local governments, while Obi was victorious in nine. Obi, on the other hand, won by a wide margin.

Tinubu won in 11 local government areas: Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, and Mushin.

Obi won in nine LGs, such as Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Alimosho and Ojo.
