Actress Joke Silva has once more refuted the claim that her husband, seasoned performer Olu Jacobs, has passed away.

On Monday, August 29, the 60-year-old dispelled the rumour in a statement posted on Instagram.

The actress also threatened to file a lawsuit against those who were disseminating false information about her husband’s passing. The declaration said:

“Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacob clan would love to inform you that Pa J (Olu Jacobs MFR) is alive and enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones. To all those that have decided to ignore our last warnings regarding fake new, kindly prepare for legal action.”

News of Jacobs’ alleged demise hit the internet on Monday with fans asking for clarification from family and colleagues. It is, however, unclear how the news broke.

The 80-year-old veteran star actor has reportedly been out of the public eye for a few years due to an undisclosed illness.

Joke dispelled reports of her husband’s passing in October 2021 after the false information spread online. The Punch received her statement from her as follows:

“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
