Olamide, Poco Lee didn’t make me famous – Portable
Music artiste Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable as dismissed claims attributing his fame to rapper Olamide and dancer Poco Lee.
Poco Lee is believed to have brought Portable to limelight after introducing him to Olamide.
Portable had his big break after featuring Olamide and Poco Lee in his 2021 street hop song ‘Zazoo Zeh’.
However, in a recent interview, the singer argued that he was already famous for his songs before meeting Olamide.
“Nobody linked me. If your time [for fame] is due, everybody DMs you. Nobody made me famous. I trended, that I know,” the singer said.
Portable went from being a rapper to a controversial artiste and has been involved in a series of trouble in 2022.
The singer once claimed to have founded a cult that had terrorised residents in parts of Lagos state years back.
He also threatened to assassinate his colleagues nominated alongside him in The Headies 2022.
Earlier in December, the 27-year-old knocked down a lady with his Range Rover.
