How I was instructed not to remarry- Chris Okotie

Rev. Chris Okotie, the founder of the Household of God Church in Lagos, claims he has no interest in getting married a third time.

Tina was the 64-year-first old’s wife. The couple divorced in 2001. Then, in 2008, Okotie wed Stephanie Henshaw. In 2012, the union disbanded.

According to Okotie, who spoke to BBC Pidgin, he was called by God to be celibate like the biblical Apostle Paul, but he did not understand the call until he was older.

If there was any chance he would have another wife, he replied, “I’m not getting married again.”

Jesus has already told me that my current marriage has ended, so I’m not getting married again. I was a university student when I was saved and when I was born again, and at that time, I had no idea what God’s plan for my life was. I always said I wanted my own family and everything else, so I went and did it, he claimed.

Okotie has suggested that Nigeria establish an interim administration under his leadership. He claimed that Nigeria might not make it through another general election.
