Nigerian singer Jaywon Juwonlo has strongly criticised Hon. Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, the father of Big Brother Naija All Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya, following the former’s emotional statement addressing their family conflict. Jaywon expressed disappointment at the father’s actions and the public defence of the alleged violence.
In a post shared via his Instagram story, Jaywon questioned the logic behind sending a young woman to the Big Brother Naija house and later complaining about her behaviour.
“A father that sent his daughter to the Big Brother House is complaining about how she now takes hard drugs. Did they tell you it’s Bible studies they go to learn there? Or is there anything positive for a girl child in the BBN house?”
The singer further condemned the level of physical force allegedly used on Ilebaye.
“How can you hurt someone to the point her face looks like that and still call it discipline? Even people caught stealing on the street are not treated that way. The scary part is seeing people defend this kind of evil.”
His comments come after Ilebaye’s father released a statement in which he alleged that his daughter distanced herself after winning BBNaija, failed to support the family financially, and introduced her 14-year-old brother to substances, leading to the boy’s expulsion from school. The father claimed the recent confrontation on May 9, 2026, at their Abuja home stemmed from frustration over these issues.
