Afrobeat artiste and love connoisseur Chike revealed an alleged betrayal by a woman he trusted with money on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Naming Chioma Nneoma Ochibili as the culprit, the singer detailed a supposed business deal gone sour, vanishing funds, and a plea to his followers not to fall for her schemes like he did.
The saga kicked off with Chike taking a direct shot that sparked speculation on the timeline.
“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili ? So you are a thief ? . That’s how they do . They will tell you they are doing certain business . Her business is to survive on your money.”
The post painted Chioma as a serial operator, preying on goodwill with fabricated ventures.
The stakes skyrocketed when he revealed the amounts involved in the apparent scam.
“$50,000 in the air . $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either . How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped . Even me I de laugh myself .”
Chike positioned himself as the cautionary tale and hammered on his plea saying,
“See, don’t let her do it to you . That’s all . I figured that’s how she gets by . Chioma is an expert at this at this point and I admit to being Rookie.”
Chike escalated with a photo of a woman we believe to be the scammer quoting it with:
“Use @ ke ? She ain’t on Twitter maybe . Just telling you not to give her your money o. I gave her $20,000 . There’s probably someone she is telling one of her numerous lies now . This tweet is for you. Don’t be me. You better see this . Upon Enquiry, it get to find out that’s how she operates . Help her get an actual job . That’s the the only way to maybe help Chioma.”
Chike went on to clarify why he was tweeting about the situation:
“Do not get distracted. The focus is not about the amount of money. I understand how one can easily get distracted by that but $20k is not all the money in the world thankfully. Whatever business chioma sells to you is not the issue . The big issue here is that the business does not even exist which then equates to fraud . Also, you will not be the 1st . These tweets are also not about fund recovery. I am well on the way to making sure that’s done regardless of Chioma’s gimmicks. These tweets are for those who are capable of giving her such amounts. I am hoping you see this . If you know chioma like i have come to know her, though late, then you will understand that doing any sort of business with her is at your own risk.”
