After completing the marathon, DeeOne expressed gratitude to his supporters and explained the motivation behind his record attempt.

“The record attempt was to encourage Nigerian youths and every dreamer that no goal is too high to achieve”, he said.

Taking to his Instagram TV handle @DeeoneTV on Saturday, the comedian shared a screenshot of a Daily Post headline that read:

“GWR: Nigerian comedian DeeOne completes world record for longest stand-up comedy.”

He paired the post with King Sunny Ade’s classic song “Appreciation” and captioned it:

“My people, Everywhere good! Tomorrow we shut down TBS Lagos.”

The post confirms that a grand celebration will take place today at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, as DeeOne and his fans mark the historic achievement.

While awaiting official verification from Guinness World Records, fans have already taken to social media to applaud his resilience and courage.

With Guinness’ confirmation now pending, all eyes are on Lagos, and TBS as DeeOne celebrates his journey from punchlines to the pages of history.
