Warri rapper Erigga has finally answered Davido after the 30BG boss called him an imbecile over a shout-out to musicians who did not grow up with family money. On Thursday morning, Paper Boi lined up posts that turned the “useless motivation” jab into a full street fight.
The fire started hours earlier. Erigga wrote:
“Shoutout to all the musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn.”
He tagged nobody. Davido still quoted him and snapped, calling Erigga an imbecile.

Erigga’s first swing was disbelief.
“A SHOUTOUT TO THE ONES WHO MADE IT OUT OF THE MUD WITHOUT FAMILY MONEY IS WHAT’S MAKING DAVID CRASH OUT? From where to where??”
He followed with a nickname that fans immediately ran with.
“A Big man’s child is crying that poor men children are hailing themselves??? Motivate yourself. Ambassador of RICH KIDS.”
Then he warned that the story would not be rewritten on Davido’s terms.
“SHAPE THE NARRATIVE HOW YOU WANT BUT NOT EVERYONE IN THIS SPACE IS SLOW. Streets is calling!!!!”
The post that broke the timeline came next.
“Because your father has money, we shouldn’t be happy again about our small wins??? I’m disappointed IN YOU SLOVIDO. I’M THE ONE YOU WANT TO BULLY? IT’S ME YOU WANT TO OPPRESS?”
“Slovido” is already travel material. Users joked that Wizkid now has a new banter line, while others said Erigga had bought market in Davido’s hand. Some 30BG stans still insisted the original shout-out was a shade dressed as motivation.
Erigga later quoted Davido’s “imbecile” reply and shifted the tone.
“Big love to everyone on the spectrum, Down syndrome, autism, etc… it can never be cool to insult people with a disease.”
Supporters read that as him calling out the insult. Critics said he was stretching the word. Either way, the quote sat on top of Davido’s original clapback and kept the feud hot.
The argument is older than this week. Davido has spent years answering the rich-kid charge. Erigga has spent years selling the grind. One untagged shout-out, one “imbecile,” and a new name, Slovido, now sit in the middle.
