Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile broke down in tears on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, as he and his longtime partner, Davita, exchanged vows at their white wedding in Marrakesh, Morocco.

The ceremony marked the final stage of their wedding celebrations. The couple had held a traditional wedding in Lagos about a week earlier, and they previously completed a low-key private court ceremony earlier in the year with only family and close loved ones present. Videos from the Morocco event captured Zlatan standing alone as the officiant opened the ceremony with prayers. He grew emotional while waiting for Davita, the mother of his children, to be presented to him.

In the vows he read to her, Zlatan reflected on the journey they had shared. He spoke of standing by each other through good times and difficult ones, praised her strength and hard work, thanked her for supporting his music career, and expressed gratitude for their two sons. The moment drew an emotional response from guests and quickly circulated online.

Not every part of the celebration stayed as private as the couple wanted. In one clip from the event, Davita was seen speaking with streamer Taylor Jasmine. She told her and Carter Efe to turn off their cameras, stating that they were not supposed to stream or post the wedding online.

Davido and his wife, Chioma, were among the prominent guests who attended. Their arrival and presence at the Morocco celebration drew attention from fans, with the couple appearing in stylish outfits. Zlatan later spoke about Davido’s consistent support while chatting with Carter Efe. When asked how he felt about Davido always showing up for him, Zlatan replied:

“He is always showing up. He has always shown up. He is just a real one.”

The couple’s relationship has been public for years. Davita has previously shared that she met Zlatan in London through a mutual friend who worked in music and brought her along for a collaboration meeting. She has also described him as shy, noting that he once sent someone else to ask for her number rather than approaching her himself. Zlatan has called her perfect and said God knew he needed her. Ahead of the traditional wedding, he gifted her items including a diamond necklace, a Birkin bag, Christian Louboutin heels, and a wristwatch. Davita has since taken the surname Omoniyi on her social media accounts.
