Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo has strongly condemned the Celestial Church shepherd linked to late actress Tope Osoba, describing him as a “devil in disguise” while sharing her deep pain over the circumstances surrounding the younger actress’s death.
In comments circulating widely on social media, Ronke Ojo, who is also a member of the Celestial Church of Christ, expressed how the story has hit her personally.
“It’s very painful! People will say ‘if it was me, I would do it this or that way,’ but we cannot say that because we have not been there. It is only when you have been there that you will understand how painful it is,” she said.

She continued:
“I understand because I have been there. I have been frustrated. I have been emotionally tortured. That is why it is so painful. Though I didn’t really know her, Tope Osoba was a very good, respectful and nice girl.”
Ronke Ojo reserved her strongest words for Tope’s fiancé, a shepherd identified in multiple reports as Prophet Itunu Onadeko of CCC Onibuore Cathedral in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, with whom Tope lived for about two years.
“That shepherd is a devil. A devil in disguise. I’m also a Celestial. How can you keep a lady you’re not married to in your house for two years and call yourself a shepherd? Where is that written in the Bible? The shepherd and his family don’t know what it means to be a shepherd because even if we say Tope was a worldly girl, what about him and his family? How can you live with her without a wedding or introduction and you’re comfortable with it.”
Tope Osoba, aged 40, passed away in early August 2026 after previously battling breast cancer. She had undergone surgery in November 2024 and later announced her recovery and plans to return to acting.

Her death has generated significant controversy, with her fiancé claiming she died at a police station in Ikorodu while denying allegations of maltreatment. Her family has called for a proper investigation into the circumstances.
