The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has given a detailed account of her final hours, disclosing that the 40-year-old repeatedly told them she would die on the very day she eventually passed away.
In an interview with actor Kunle Afod, Osoba’s maternal aunt, Pejuola Ogunesan, and another relative identified as Dupe shared the emotional details of the actress’s last moments. According to Pejuola, Osoba called her that day insisting she was going to die, even though the two had been estranged for years.
“She called me that she was going to die that day, although we were not on good terms after she left Evercare Hospital in Lekki with her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, and actress Foluke Daramola in 2023,” Pejuola said.
She explained that Osoba had blocked the family after accusing them of taking her phone while she prepared for breast cancer surgery.
The aunt and her sister rushed to the police station where Osoba was. There, the actress identified them as her aunties to the Divisional Police Officer and continued predicting her death.
“Tope would complain of not being able to sleep, seeing monsters and the fiancé. Now that Aunty Peju is here, she would die. She mentioned that the fiancé had told her that they would post her obituary that day,” Pejuola recounted.
Osoba had been heading to meet Prophetess Kehinde Osoba for spiritual help over troubling dreams and days without food. Pejuola alleged that the actress jumped out of a vehicle after Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officials stopped another car ahead, telling officers she did not know where she was being taken and demanding to go to a police station.
At the station and later, Osoba reportedly made several allegations against her fiancé, including claims of humiliation, abuse, multiple relationships with other women, and being asked to leave his home and pretend they had broken up for two months. She also spoke of three miscarriages despite medical advice against pregnancy for five years after her cancer surgery.
The family tried to take her to Kehinde Osoba’s church but found it locked. They later went to another church for prayers. Osoba then stayed with relatives, posted “Ogo tuntun” (new glory) on social media, sent messages to several people, and complained of discomfort as her condition worsened.
When she deteriorated further, the family rushed her to hospital. They were referred to Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH).
“When we got there, they referred us to OSUTH. Suddenly, she just defecated in the car. Her head suddenly dropped. Before we could get to the emergency, she was confirmed dead,” Pejuola said.
The family’s account differs from earlier statements by Osoba’s fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, who claimed she died at a police station in Ikorodu.

Osoba’s burial is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State. The revelations have deepened public interest in the final chapter of the actress’s life, marked by her earlier public battle with breast cancer and attempts to rebuild her career.
