Just weeks after Nollywood star and evangelist Tonto Dikeh shared inspiring testimonies from a school outreach that saw over 100 students commit their lives to Christ, her ministry efforts have taken a dramatic turn. Ikechukwu Obasi, a human rights activist, has filed a N200 million lawsuit against Dikeh, citing privacy violations and potential harm to the minor involved in the widely circulated roadside deliverance video.

The legal action stems from the now-infamous clip Dikeh posted on her Instagram, showing her team praying over a dramatic young girl who had approached them after the main program.

The activist argues the public sharing of the video exploited a vulnerable minor without consent, breaching child protection laws and privacy rights. Legal documents, as reported by outlets, demand compensation for emotional distress, reputational damage, and potential long-term effects on the student.

Dikeh has not yet responded publicly to the suit, but sources close to her indicate she views the event as a genuine act of faith, not exploitation.
