I Am Bigger Than You — Portable Tells WizKid

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again stirred reactions online after boldly comparing himself to Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

In a viral video making the rounds on social media, the Zazoo Zeh crooner declared himself the modern reincarnation of Fela, insisting that no artiste in the industry comes close to his level of relevance and impact.

While boasting about his success, influence, and street credibility, Portable dismissed claims of superiority from other musicians.

“I’m the newborn Fela,” Portable said confidently in the video. “If you say you’re bigger than Fela, then I’m bigger than you. Nobody blow reach me.”

The statement comes at a time when conversations around Fela’s legacy have dominated Nigerian social media, following the ongoing online clash involving Wizkid, Seun Kuti, and members of Wizkid FC.

Portable’s declaration has further added fuel to the already heated debate, especially as the singer recently returned to the spotlight after regaining his freedom from prison.

As expected, the video quickly divided opinions online. While some fans applauded his confidence and unapologetic energy, others criticised the comparison as unnecessary and disrespectful.

Known for his controversial statements and viral moments, Portable once again proved his ability to command attention, keeping himself firmly at the centre of Nigeria’s entertainment conversations.
