Chocolate City Music Management has accused Nigerian rapper Tochukwu “Odumodublvck” Ojogwu of physically assaulting one of its staff members during the Rhythm Unplugged concert.
In a statement shared on its official platforms, the record label alleged that the incident occurred on Monday backstage at the event and involved Feyi Ajayi, a member of its team.
According to Chocolate City, the confrontation escalated into what it described as a pattern of harassment, stalking, and physical violence, which it claims now poses a serious safety risk to its staff and artistes.
In its statement, Chocolate City alleged that Odumodublvck approached Ajayi aggressively before attacking him.
“According to multiple eyewitnesses, Tochukwu approached Mr Ajayi, made threatening statements about Chocolate City and its leadership, and then head-butted him without provocation,” the label said.
The statement further alleged that when a bodyguard intervened, the situation worsened.
“When our artist’s bodyguard intervened, he and his associates poured drinks on Mr Ajayi while shouting expletives about Chocolate City and its executives,” the label added.
Chocolate City confirmed that Ajayi is currently receiving medical treatment.
“Mr Ajayi is currently hospitalised and receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the assault. While he is responding well to treatment, the severity of the attack required immediate medical attention,” the statement read.
The record label said it has formally escalated the matter to law enforcement and intends to pursue legal action.
“Our team’s safety is our highest priority… Chocolate City has escalated this matter to the relevant authorities,” the company stated. “When an artist’s behaviour becomes a sustained campaign of violence, particularly targeting women, we have a duty to protect our people through every legal means available.”
Beyond the Rhythm Unplugged incident, Chocolate City levelled further allegations against the rapper, claiming a long-running conflict involving its artist Blaqbonez.
The label alleged that Odumodublvck physically confronted Blaqbonez at Landmark Beach, seized his eyeglasses, and failed to return them.
It also claimed that between 2024 and 2025, Odumodublvck sent over 100 threatening messages to Blaqbonez and later extended those threats to Chocolate City executives, family members, and associates.
“He has publicly attacked other artists and spread false narratives to defame Blaqbonez and damage Chocolate City’s reputation,” the label alleged.
Chocolate City further alleged that in March 2025, Odumodublvck followed Blaqbonez to a hotel in Uyo, where he allegedly cornered him in an elevator with associates and issued violent threats.
Other allegations listed by the label include: Attempted assault at a fashion show in England, spitting at Blaqbonez’s manager, Morin Oluwatobi, ordering an attack on Major AJ, another Chocolate City artist, and sustained online harassment of executives and staff.
“This escalating pattern of violence and intimidation cannot continue,” Chocolate City said.
As of press time, Odumodublvck has not publicly responded to the allegations made by Chocolate City Music Management.
The situation has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and industry observers calling for a thorough investigation.
