Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has finally addressed the intense social media buzz and sidetalks that erupted after he revealed losing dozens of horses, clarifying the exact number and defending his passion for the animals.

In a new video, the veteran actor expressed frustration over the negative comments and misconceptions surrounding his earlier statement. He admitted he usually ignores online banter but felt compelled to respond this time.

“I have cultivated the habit of not addressing everything people say about me… Let me say it directly: I have lost 49 horses and not 48. Because after that 48, another one died. This year we have lost two horses, and this is the lowest,” Chatta stated clearly.

The actor explained that horses are fragile creatures that can waste away quickly once they stop eating, a reality he has witnessed repeatedly while breeding them at his Africhatta Film Village. Many netizens had questioned how he could afford or maintain such a large number of horses, sparking heated debates and doubts about his claims.

Chatta’s revelation comes months after colleagues rallied around him when he lost one horse, showing the emotional attachment he has to the animals he uses in films and events. His latest clarification aims to shut down the side talks while highlighting the challenges of animal husbandry.

This episode has divided opinions online, with some praising Chatta for his transparency and passion for horses, while others continue to express skepticism about the scale of his losses and breeding operations.
