UNIPORT student Justina Otuene found dead in lover’s apartment

Justina Otuene, a student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in Rivers State, was discovered dead at her lover’s house.

Collins, a 300-level undergraduate in the Department of Biological Chemistry, has been arrested.

Ms Otuene’s remains were discovered at her lover’s residence along NTA Road, Mgbuoba in Rivers State’s Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

She had been reported missing four days prior.

Otuene was said to be undergoing her industrial training attachment at a popular private hospital located in the D/Line axis of Port Harcourt, where she was last seen.

Reports said Otuene’s body was found mutilated as her breasts and eyes were missing.

A source quoted by PUNCH said that after carrying out the alleged murder the suspect “kept her body in his apartment for three days and just when he wanted to dispose her corpse in refuse dump, a vigilante group in the area accosted him, leading to his arrest.”

Commissioner of police Emeka Nwaonyi is expected to address the public on the matter on Thursday.
