Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has voiced deep frustration over the state of the nation, particularly the ongoing insecurity crisis, declaring that while other countries battle natural disasters, Nigeria suffers from what he described as a “government disaster.”

The actor took to his Instagram story to express his pain and disappointment as the country continues to grapple with banditry and abduction cases, especially the prolonged captivity of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State. He wrote:

“Other parts of the world have Natural disasters. Nigeria has a government disaster!”

He highlighted the heartbreaking reality of the Oyo school abduction, noting that it has been over 40 days since the incident occurred, with families still torn apart and victims yet to be rescued.

“40 Days and families are still torn apart. Children are still suffering simply because they were born in Nigeria. Teachers are still in captivity instead of in their classrooms. Families remain in fear, grief, and dismay.”

The actor further questioned the apparent freedom enjoyed by bandits while security agencies seem unable to curb their activities:

“Meanwhile, bandits move freely through towns while the very security agencies meant to protect us appear to wave them through. What exactly are we waiting for?”

Kunle Remi’s latest outburst adds to his previous public comments on national issues, including prayers amid election campaigns and direct messages to President Bola Tinubu, where he urged leaders to feel the weight of citizens’ suffering.
