Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has firmly stated that he will not get involved in the ongoing public disagreement between his colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham. In a recent interview, the seasoned thespian described the matter as one that does not concern him and advised the two actresses to recognise how much God has blessed them instead of engaging in conflict.
Taiwo Hassan made his neutral position very clear.
“I don’t interfere in women’s matters. It doesn’t concern me at all.”
He went on to question the need for the feud, pointing out that both actresses have been highly favoured in their careers.
“If Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele have sense, they should know God has favored them. What is the reason for the fight? God blessed the two of them already, and the next thing they think is right is to be fighting? It’s not supposed to be so.”
The actor also drew a comparison between how men and women handle disagreements.
“What happens between men that they’ll laugh over, if it happens between women, it becomes worse than Hitler’s war. Any man that meddles in it doesn’t have complete senses.”
He expressed confidence that the two will eventually resolve their issues on their own.
“When they’re ready, they’ll settle.”
This latest comment comes days after the widely discussed moment at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie The Return of Arinzo. In a viral video from the event, Toyin Abraham approached Funke Akindele and greeted her warmly but Funke remained straight-faced and offered no response.
