Activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, has alleged that auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly called IVD, introduced relationship commentator Blessing Okoro, or Blessing CEO, to injected drugs, and that she later sold properties and told the public she had cancer so the pair could keep buying them.

VDM made the claims in a video posted on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, while saying he now wants to help secure her release.

“With the recent things I have discovered about Blessing CEO, I think I am committed to helping her now. Because a lot of things that I could not understand why she was doing them has started making sense to me now,” he said.

He added that some people around him do not want him involved.

“I consulted a lot of my friends, they said I should leave her. I am committed to helping her even though some people are declining for me to help her.”

He first addressed the death of her son.

“First things first, she indeed lost her child.”

Reports in late September said one of her sons died while she was still in detention. VDM said a video sent to him privately convinced him the loss was real. He has also asked the public not to send her money.

The drug claims came next, and he presented them as the product of his own investigation.

“I recently discovered that Blessing CEO and IVD were drug addicts. They were injecting themselves with drugs, which makes a lot of sense if you look at some of her past videos.”

He went further and pulled IVD’s late wife into the allegation.

“And this same IVD and his former wife Bimbo were both doing drugs. So apparently it was IVD that introduced Blessing to drugs.”

Bimbo Ogbonna died in 2022 after a fire at the couple’s Lagos home. Blessing CEO later entered a relationship with IVD, and the pair held a traditional wedding in 2025.

He then tied the habit to the cancer appeal that landed Blessing CEO in court.

“They did drugs to a point where Blessing CEO started selling her properties including her cars. And when they didn’t have money to buy drugs again, she came up with the idea of scamming the public by saying that she had cancer. She started scamming a lot of people. If you contact her for an advert, she will collect your money to do drugs.”

That cancer appeal is already before the courts. In April she asked Nigerians for money to treat what she called stage 4 cancer, then walked the claim back after the Delta State Nigerian Medical Association said a report circulating in her name was an altered result belonging to another patient. The EFCC later arraigned her over an alleged N36 million fraud tied to that appeal and a separate alleged N69.15 million property case. She was granted bail in July, but supporters were still asking in September why she had not been released.
