Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, has broken his silence following hours of online panic triggered by a mysterious “Help me” post that appeared on his social media page before being quickly deleted.

The post, which spread across X, Instagram, and gossip blogs within minutes, prompted a wave of concern from fans and fellow celebrities, especially amid his ongoing marital crisis with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.

But in a new video now making rounds online, 2baba dismissed the alarm and urged the public to calm down, insisting he is “perfectly fine.”

Addressing Nigerians directly, the singer said the viral post did not come from him In his words:

“This is getting out of hand right now. I know what fans can do, I know what people can do. I’m perfectly okay, you understand what I’m saying.” “This is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair on anybody to do this kind of thing. So I need everybody to calm down and cease fire. We’re gonna resolve all these issues.” “People dey get issues for house, no be today. This is getting out of hand. Friends, family, please cease fire. I’m perfectly fine. I didn’t post that post. Please, I’m okay.”

The statement comes after weeks of escalating drama between 2baba and Natasha, from their heated exchange in the UK that led to a brief police intervention, to an explosive Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze where both clashed openly.

Before 2baba’s clarification, Nigerians online were already in full panic mode, interpreting the post as a cry for help.
