Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has fired back at singer Portable after the street-pop star accused him of biting during their recent celebrity boxing rematch.
The highly anticipated clash took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, where Okocha was declared the winner after Portable was disqualified. The singer abandoned the permitted wrestling techniques, threw punches instead, and eventually walked out of the ring.
Following the bout, Portable claimed Okocha bit him on the back and locked his neck tightly. He insisted he is a star who should not have been subjected to such treatment and suggested the fight turned unfair.
Okocha dismissed the allegations during an appearance on TVC Entertainment. He pointed out that he wore a mouth guard throughout the contest, making any biting impossible.
“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying,” the actor said.
He went further with a sharp and memorable response:
“I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat.”
This was the second meeting between the two entertainers. Portable defeated Okocha in their first celebrity boxing bout at Landmark Beach in 2023 and claimed the championship belt. The rematch, billed as unfinished business, ended in controversy after Portable’s early exit.

Portable has previously complained about foul play in other celebrity fights, including his recent loss to skitmaker Carter Efe.

Okocha, however, maintained that the latest result stands and urged the singer to move on rather than spread what he called lies.
The exchange has kept the entertainment circuit buzzing, with fans divided between those supporting Okocha’s victory and those questioning the nature of the contest. For now, the actor’s blunt denial and vivid quotes have taken centre stage as the latest chapter in their ongoing rivalry.
