Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri is struggling to cope with the devastating news of his close friend’s stage-four cancer diagnosis, according to Ogogo’s daughter.

Kira Taiwo, daughter of Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo, shared an emotional update during a live session on Saturday. She revealed that Quadri has been in constant contact with the family since the actor’s condition worsened.

“I’m not sure Daddy Yinka Quadri is also okay, because he has been on the phone with us every moment. He’s always on call and following up on everything with my uncle,” Kira said.

The revelation highlights the deep bond between the two long-time colleagues. Quadri, a respected figure in the Yoruba movie industry, has remained one of the most consistent sources of support for the family as they navigate the challenging health crisis.

In the same live video, Kira spoke about the heavy emotional toll the situation has taken on everyone close to her father. She described the confusion and pain of watching a man she calls a very good father endure weeks of suffering.

“God, I know you understand how you do your own thing; I cannot question you, but this is deep… I don’t think it is healthy to get too close to your parents. Look at me, I am losing it. I know it; I don’t need anybody to tell me. Seeing someone I love with all my life on the sick bed, in pains for weeks. He is a very good father. All of us are just confused,” she stated.

Kira also addressed individuals she accused of exploiting the family’s vulnerability. She specifically called out a cleric who went online discussing her father’s condition in a way that she felt stripped the family of hope.

The family continues to prioritise finding suitable care for the 66-year-old actor, who has appeared in hundreds of Yoruba films over a career spanning more than three decades. Colleagues and fans have been urged to keep praying as the situation remains delicate.
