Nollywood actress and art curator Chidera Adiele has publicly demanded that her mother leave her house, saying the older woman’s presence is destroying her mental health and affecting her ability to care for her daughter.

In a raw social media post that quickly went viral, the 32-year-old star wrote:

“I want this woman OUT OF MY FUCKING SPACE!!!! she is refusing to leave my house, she claims she has nowhere to go and her family is begging me to keep accommodating her because ‘she is my mother’. Her presence is triggering me, I hate who i am becoming. My daughter needs me, i want to be sane for her. I HAVE BEEN USED FOR TOOO LONG, I AM LOSING MY MIND!!!!”

Dior accused her mother of forcing her to start paying rent at the age of 16 while they still lived together with her siblings.

“My childhood was stolen from me. I started paying rent at 16, in a house I lived in with her and my siblings. My father was sending money, but she made us believe he wasn’t,” she stated.

She further alleged that her mother took the family away from the Catholic Church to what she described as a “demonic church,” resulting in the family becoming homeless three times. Despite working hard and earning significant money that could have secured landed properties, Dior said her resources were drained.

“I made money, I made crazy money to afford me some landed properties, but this woman drained my every dime. But she is a ‘prayer warrior’.”

She noted that at 32 she is still paying rent with no tangible properties to her name.

The latest outburst comes just weeks after Dior publicly cried out over her brother’s long-running drug addiction and mental health struggles. She revealed she has been the primary caregiver for years, taking him through multiple psychiatric facilities, and said the responsibility has left her drained while raising concerns about her daughter’s safety in the shared environment.
