Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru has broken her silence on the dramatic confrontation with her husband, music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, at the opening of 90s Lounge in Abuja on Friday, August 7, 2026.

In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, Natasha admitted the couple is going through difficult times but firmly rejected reports that they have separated.
“My husband and I are fine, just that we are having marital crisis,” she said.
Her statement came after videos and eyewitness accounts of the tense night flooded social media. According to a close associate of 2Baba who spoke as an eyewitness, Natasha arrived at the venue with her brothers and some men described as thugs. The source claimed she tried to force her way to 2Baba.
Other circulating accounts alleged she waited for the singer’s arrival, approached his vehicle, and demanded to speak with him, creating a scene outside the club before 2Baba eventually escorted her inside. Management sources close to the singer further claimed the pair had been living apart for more than two months and that an attempt was made to take him away from the venue. These allegations remain unverified.
Natasha’s comments dismiss the separation narrative while confirming the marriage is under serious strain. The couple’s relationship has never been short of public drama since it became official in early 2025, shortly after 2Baba announced the end of his long marriage to actress Annie Idibia. They held a private traditional wedding in July 2025.
Previous flashpoints include a reported altercation in the United Kingdom in October 2025 during 2Baba’s tour and a chaotic December 2025 Instagram Live hosted by Daddy Freeze. During that livestream, former associates of the singer made serious allegations about control in the marriage. 2Baba joined the broadcast to defend Natasha, but a heated argument between the couple was overheard off-camera before the stream ended abruptly.
The Abuja club incident has now deepened public speculation. Reports on Sunday, August 9, indicated that 2Baba had unfollowed Natasha and followed his ex wife, Annie Idibia, on Instagram hours after the clash, while Natasha continued to follow him. Claims also circulated that he told her he no longer wished to continue the relationship.
