Media personality Teddy Don-Momoh is mourning the death of his wife, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, popularly known as Coach Lara, who passed away just weeks after the couple welcomed their first child together.
The family therapist and relationship coach died after a brief illness. In an official statement released by the family, they announced that she passed away peacefully.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh. After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully,” the statement read.
The family requested privacy and prayers during this difficult period.

Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and other family matters will be communicated in due course. We sincerely thank everyone for the love, support, prayers, and understanding extended to the family during this difficult time.”
Coach Lara and Teddy Don-Momoh married in April 2023. Their union marked a new beginning for the media personality nearly nine years after the death of his first wife, late gospel singer Kefee Obareki Momoh, who passed away in June 2014 from lung failure.
The couple recently celebrated the birth of their first child together, a baby girl. The joyous milestone had drawn congratulatory messages from friends and well-wishers only weeks before the devastating news of Coach Lara’s death. She is also survived by two children from a previous relationship.
Known for her work as a certified cognitive behavioural therapist and family life coach, Coach Lara founded a therapy organisation and authored books on relationships and healing. She often shared messages of recovery and finding love again after personal challenges.
The entertainment community and fans have begun sending condolences to Teddy Don-Momoh and the family as they grieve this sudden loss. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
