Who Has Bewitched Us? — Spyro Slams Nigerians for Ignoring Kidnapped Girls Amid VDM–Jollof Fight

Popular Nigerian singer Spyro has unleashed another passionate and fiery rant against celebrities actively supporting President Bola Tinubu and the APC, questioning their lack of empathy as abducted teachers and schoolchildren remain missing with no updates even on June 1.

In an emotional video that has gone viral, the “Who Is Your Guy” hitmaker expressed deep frustration at the “business as usual” attitude in the country despite the ongoing security crisis.

“It’s the 1st of June and still no news on the teachers & children that were abducted… And it is business as usual in Nigeria. Politicians are campaigning… some fools that are called celebrities are still gallivanting, campaigning.”

He particularly targeted those with children who continue to campaign for the government:

“The funny thing is some of these guys have children. So I can’t seem to understand. Where’s the empathy? It’s just about the money… You’re so full of yourself. You’ve got cars and that insulates you?”

Spyro delivered a strong reality check to his colleagues:

“You’re nothing. You are nobody. You’re dust. A sickness can come today and take away everything that you think you have.”

The singer revealed he personally halted his own music rollout out of empathy for the situation.

“My rollout for my new music was supposed to start last week. I put a stop to it… That is empathy.”

He further lamented the desensitization in the country and called for urgent action instead of politics as usual, urging prominent figures to find a way forward.

Spyro’s outburst comes amid continued public anger over unresolved abduction cases and has drawn massive reactions online, with many praising him for using his voice.
