Controversial singer Portable has taken a swipe at socialite Cubana Chief Priest following his underwhelming showing in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest had aspired for the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections but lost to incumbent lawmaker Canice More Nwachukwu. Reports indicated he polled a very low number of votes in the exercise.
In a video that has since circulated widely online, Portable did not hold back as he ridiculed the socialite’s political outing.
“If APC, Tinubu or PDP give me money, I’ll collect. Cubana Chief Priest, see your shameful display; you ran to APC, and you only got four votes in your village. I would have seen 4 billion votes if I were in Cubana’s shoes.”
The street-hop artist suggested that Chief Priest’s move to the APC yielded little result despite expectations tied to his influence and connections.
Cubana Chief Priest later clarified that he withdrew from the primary race before voting due to party zoning arrangements favouring another candidate from Orlu LGA. He maintained he did not participate and expressed continued loyalty to the APC and President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
