Big Brother Naija All Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya is receiving medical treatment at NNPC Hospital in Abuja after her father was arrested for allegedly assaulting her. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours of May 9, 2026, has sparked widespread outrage and renewed conversations about domestic violence.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command responded to a distress call from Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja, around midnight. According to the police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, officers rescued Ilebaye, who had visible bruises, along with her brothers. They were taken to the hospital for medical attention. Her father, Hon. Emmanuel Odiniya, is currently in police custody while investigations continue.

The arrest followed a distressing Instagram livestream where Ilebaye cried out for help.

Police faced a standoff as the gate was initially locked before gaining access around 2:30 a.m.

Additional accounts circulating online claim Ilebaye visited her father’s home after hearing that her younger brothers were not being properly fed. According to these reports, her mother had left the marriage years earlier due to alleged domestic violence, taking the daughters while the father retained custody of the sons. These details remain unconfirmed by Ilebaye or authorities and are part of the ongoing investigation.

Ilebaye, who turned 25 recently, had been in the spotlight after her BBNaija victory. Fellow housemates including Beauty Tukura, Tacha, and Venita had earlier rallied support and expressed heartbreak over the incident.
