Nigerian singer Skales has shared a powerful testimony about how his life and career took a dramatic turn in 2025, revealing that God used Barcelona football star Lamine Yamal to answer all his prayer points in just one day.
The musician made the revelation while giving a heartfelt testimony at Harvesters Church, where he opened up about a difficult season marked by fasting, prayers, and public ridicule.
According to Skales, 2025 began as one of the most challenging periods of his life. He said he committed himself to intense fasting and prayer, more than he had ever done before, as he battled discouragement over his music career.
“Earlier this year [2025], I prayed a lot, I fasted a lot; I’ve never fasted like this year,” Skales said. “I told God that He needed to bless me because I’m being laughed at and my career just looked funny.”
The singer disclosed that he wrote down seven prayer points during that period, believing God for a complete turnaround.
“I wrote down seven prayer points, and all of them happened in one day,” he told the congregation.
Skales explained that the moment that changed everything was when a short video of teenage football sensation Lamine Yamal dancing to his 2015 hit song Shake Body surfaced online. The clip quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing massive attention back to his music.
“The one that changed my life was when a kid in Barcelona, Lamine Yamal, did a simple dance step to my song, and it went viral,” he said.
Following the viral moment, Skales experienced a sudden resurgence in his career. The renewed attention led to invitations to high-profile events, including performances linked to Barcelona celebrations such as the Copa del Rey festivities. He also went on to release a tribute track titled Dance Like Lamine Yamal.
