Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has intensified her public face-off with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, alleging that the cleric attempted to silence her with a $10,000 cash bribe.
According to Ogala, the money was delivered in an envelope containing two separate $5,000 bundles, allegedly offered to persuade her to retract previous allegations she had made against the pastor.
Speaking during a recent live session, the actress claimed the offer was accompanied by pressure to discredit herself and shift blame to other religious leaders.
“Pastor Chris Okafor gave me $10,000 to come out and retract everything I said about him, claiming other pastors sent me to spoil his name,” Ogala alleged. “I’m not as cheap as you think. Everything I’ve said is true.”
The allegation marks a new escalation in what has become a months-long public dispute between the actress and the clergyman. Ogala has previously accused Pastor Okafor of a prolonged personal relationship, broken promises, and emotional manipulation, claims that have continued to trend widely across social media platforms.
While Pastor Chris Okafor has not directly addressed the bribery allegation, he has repeatedly dismissed online critics, describing them as “demons on assignment”, without offering specific responses to the claims raised by Ogala.
The unfolding controversy has drawn massive online engagement, sparking heated debates that cut across faith, celebrity influence, accountability, and abuse of power. Many Nigerians have called for an independent investigation, while others urge restraint and due process.
As of press time, neither Pastor Chris Okafor nor his legal representatives have issued an official statement responding to the latest allegation.
