Yinka Alaseyori, Alewilese, Others Rally Support for Ailing Singer Omije Ojumi as Health Condition Worsens

Nigerian gospel musicians, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Lanre Alewilese, Akinade Olubukola, and actress Foluke Daramola, have taken to social media to solicit financial support for their colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.

The appeal comes weeks after the gospel singer visited G.F David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking healing for a severe leg ailment that has reportedly left her financially drained.

In a video posted on Instagram, singer Lanre Alewilese called on Nigerians to pray for Omije Ojumi while urgently seeking financial help on her behalf.

“She really needs your support NOW!” he pleaded.

Sharing her bank details, Alewilese urged musicians across all genres; gospel, juju, fuji and contemporary to unite in helping the ailing singer.

He said:

“God in Your mercy, please heal her. Please, for God’s sake, I’m calling on both young and old, my brothers and sisters in the gospel industry, including Juju and Fuji musicians — let’s set religion aside. Please let us save the life of Sister Bunmi Akinanu Omije Ojumi.”

Alewilese expressed shock at the severity of her condition, noting that he initially believed her healing journey had improved.

“When my colleague, Alayo, called me yesterday about her, I was shocked because I thought God had taken control of her healing. I didn’t know she’s being taken from one hospital to another”, he added.

Other gospel acts, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Akinade Olubukola, as well as actress Foluke Daramola, also used their platforms to raise awareness and rally support for the singer.

While the exact nature of Omije Ojumi’s leg ailment remains unclear, the viral clip has sparked widespread concern among fans and well-wishers.
