Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has spoken emotionally about his close relationship with the late actress Allwell Ademola, describing her as one of the most fiercely loyal people in his life.
Salami made the heartfelt revelation during an appearance on Bola’s Talk To B – Share Your Experience podcast, where he reflected on their bond just four months before her passing.
According to the actor, Allwell Ademola was a strong fighter who never hesitated to defend those she loved, even when the energy was not returned in equal measure.
“She has fought many battles and is still fighting. Even I don’t always fight for her the way she does, and she doesn’t mind,” Salami said.
He explained that while he tends to respond calmly or diplomatically to criticism, Allwell was the complete opposite when it came to protecting him.
“If anyone says something about her outside, I might respond diplomatically. But if you say anything about me, Rotimi, she will go all out for me without holding back.”
Salami went further to describe the unique dynamic they shared, revealing that their bond often confused people around them.
“Sometimes, I call her my mother, sister, and junior—all in one—and people often don’t understand that. Some friends have even asked if we’re romantically involved,” he revealed.
Shutting down such speculations, the actor stressed that their relationship was purely built on deep trust, loyalty, and genuine friendship.
“The truth is, everyone should pray to have just one person like Allwell in their lives,” he added.
The resurfaced interview has taken on deeper meaning following Allwell Ademola’s death, with fans and colleagues describing Salami’s words as a powerful reflection of the late actress’ personality and impact.
Since news of her passing broke, tributes have continued to pour in across social media, with many recalling her strength, boldness, and unwavering support for those close to her.
