Relationship therapist and social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has shared a raw tribute to her late nine-year-old son Bryan, saying the loss has left her in a state of shock she may never fully recover from.
In an emotional Instagram post that circulated this week, she wrote directly to the boy she called her guardian angel and “Dum Dum.”
“I miss you my baby, I will never recover from this shock. I will keep living in denial, I miss you, bought the iPad I promised you, and also the bicycle,” she said.
She added:
“You would have waited for mummy to come back…” and closed with, “Rest on my guardian angel. Bryan. Sleep well my Dum Dum, mummy loves and miss you. Everywhere is so cold and quiet.”
Bryan died in hospital at about 6:30 a.m. on a Monday in June 2026 while his mother was in custody. She later learned he had been relying on two inhalers. She has described him as selfless, kind, outspoken, bold and very intelligent, and said she will carry his memory everywhere she goes because she believes he is in heaven.
She has said he suffered from severe asthma, a condition she also lives with, and that attacks could be triggered by cold, sweat, dust or perfume.
Blessing CEO spent months in detention over separate alleged fraud cases that remain ongoing. Her bail does not amount to acquittal. She has spoken of wrestling with guilt about whether anything could have been different, while insisting she wants to move forward in a way that would make Bryan proud of his mother.
