Nollywood actress and businesswoman Sarah Martins has sparked intense reactions after boldly declaring that she prefers feeding struggling people on the streets instead of paying tithe to pastors.
In a recent street interview with Kaptain Jeff that has gone viral, the outspoken star made her position clear.
“I don’t pay tithe to pastors, I pay to struggling people on the street by feeding them. Instead of enriching rich pastors, I’ll rather use my money to empower people that don’t know where their help comes from. There’s no love greater than giving to someone you know will never be able to pay you back. Maybe to the street, I’m the God they seek. So as God is blessing me, I’m transferring the blessing to them as well so that it’ll go round.”
Sarah revealed that she has personally cooked for as many as 1,000 people at once using two bags of rice, all funded from her own pocket and prepared by her alone.
On her business success, she disclosed that her highest monthly earnings hit 40 million naira.
“When I signed Bobrisky as my influencer, he made 15 million naira for my business in just one day. That made me get over 40 million in that month.”
The actress, who has been acting since 2016, also shared that she once spent about 15 million naira producing a YouTube film that failed to break even. She described the food business as “blood money” because people must eat every day, unlike clothes that can be repeated.
Addressing misconceptions about successful women, Sarah stated that some men run from or label them as promiscuous simply because of how they carry themselves and handle business.
“Some men don’t like women who carry themselves well or that portray success. They feel like you’ve made your money by sleeping around with other men.”
She described herself as a “stingy girl” when it comes to personal spending and emphasized that true attractiveness goes beyond looks.
“When you’re with a baddie that’s not intelligent, when she talks, the only thing that’ll run through your mind is how to take off her pants… But when you have a conversation with an intelligent woman, you’re thinking of how to bag her… because she won’t only add value to your life, she’ll also project you.”
