Controversial singer Mr Real has unleashed a fiery tirade against colleague Idowest, declaring deep regret over their 2018 hit Legbegbe while promising total domination in their upcoming celebrity boxing match.
In a viral Instagram reel interview with Egungun, the Legbegbe crooner did not hold back as tensions boil ahead of the “Chaos in the Ring” event scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The bout, which also features Portable versus Charles Okocha, will supposedly settle ownership claims over the massive hit.
When Egungun asked what would happen if Idowest beats him, Mr Real fired back dramatically:
“What sort of statement is that? If not that we’re friends, I’d have slapped you!”
He then switched into rap mode:
“When I’m done with him that day, he’ll become Idonorth, and have to relocate to the north. If he doesn’t, I’ll eat him like a donut.”
Mr Real pointed fingers at Idowest for stalled careers and lack of properties despite the song’s huge success.
“Legbegbe was the biggest song in 2018 in Nigeria. How can a big song like that happen and none of us can boast of having properties and cars?”
He openly expressed his biggest industry regret:
“Featuring this stupid boy [Idowest]… I regret it with my life!”
Defending his role in the collaboration, Mr Real revealed:
“I put him on. I called Obadice first, then Kevin Chuks, then felt like I needed someone else. That was when I finally called Idowest. He recorded last, but I helped him move his verse to the front.”
The singer blamed Idowest for blocking bigger opportunities, including a video shoot offer from Davido.
“Davido thought Idowest owned the song and was introducing him to people as the king of Legbegbe. That was when I lost it. Idowest came to me to tell me Davido wanted to shoot the video for us, but I declined.”
He added painfully:
“We have a lot of issues. Idowest is the reason so many things didn’t happen in my life, Obadice’s life, and Kevin Chuks’ life.”
