The mother of Voice Nigeria contestant Manuel Muzic died two weeks after the singer died.

According to a source who spoke with newsmen on Friday, the woman died of shock after learning about her son’s death.

Manuel died on February 5 after a brief illness, according to a statement posted on his Instagram account.

“With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our Beloved Brother and son Emmanuel Abdulrazak Yunus (MANUEL MUZIC), who passed away at the early hours of Monday 5th of February 2024, after a brief illness.

“The loss of a dear family member, friend, or colleague at such a young age is a profound and heartbreaking experience that words cannot fully express.

“It is so hard to come to terms with the fact that Manuel Muzic is no longer physically present with us. But we are comforted knowing that we will continue to hear his golden voice through the songs, sounds and lyrics he has left behind to herald his memories that would be cherished to help us keep him in our hearts forever even as he is no more. May his memory be a blessing that brings comfort and solace to us his family, his amazing Fans and those who grieve his absence.

“We kindly ask for your understanding, support, and respect for our privacy as we navigate through this period of mourning and come to terms with the void left by his sudden departure,” the statement read.

Manuel died two months after celebrating his birthday on December 19.
